Vlad accomplished his diploma of Remedial Massage at RMIT University. Vlad has over 20 years of experience in the health and wellbeing profession, and has always been passionate about helping people. Prior to becoming a Remedial Massage Therapist, Vlad spent 15 years in Israel as an optometrist. This gave Vlad experience with understanding the needs of clients and sparked a strong desire to find the best solution to his clients’ problems.
In his earlier days, Vlad trained as a classical ballet dancer in Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow. Remedial Massage gave him an opportunity to combine his thorough understanding of the body and muscular movement with his passion of helping people.
Vlad believes Remedial Massage plays a big role in the prevention of injuries and musculoskeletal problems and is pivotal in helping athletes achieve high performance. What looks like simple tightness and tiredness can lead to an unnecessary injury if left unaddressed. Vlad has experience working with the Melbourne United Basketball team as a sports massage therapist and has helped them achieve high performance and reduce the risk of injury.
Vlad offers a wide range of therapeutic techniques, including remedial massage, sports massage, soft and deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, cupping and relaxation massage.
Sporting Background: Classical ballet, table tennis
Interests: Music, playing chess and table tennis with family, reading books, taking ballet classes.
